Abstract

Human development in Banten Province continues to consistently progress, which is marked by an increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In the year of 2023, Banten Province's HDI has reached 75.77 or an increase of 0.52 points compared to last year which was 75.25.
The increase in HDI 2023 occurs in all dimensions, both longevity and healthy living, knowledge, as well as a decent standard of living.
In the dimensions of long life and healthy living, babies born in 2023 have expectancy to live up to 74.77 years, an increase of 0.31 years compared with those born in the previous year which was 74.46. Source of age data life expectancy at birth using the results of the Long Form SP2020 (SP2020-LF).
In the knowledge dimension, the Expected Years of Schooling (HLS) of the population is 7 years old increased 0.04 years compared to the previous year, from 13.05 to 13.09 years, while the Average Years of Schooling (RLS) for people aged 25 years and over increased 0.02 years, from 9.13 years to 9.15 years in 2023. Data source HLS and RLS uses the March Susenas results.
Dimensions of decent living standards measured based on average real expenditure per capita per year (adjusted) of 12.60 million or an increase of 385 thousand rupiah (3.15 percent) compared to the previous year. Source of data on real expenditure per capita per year using the March Susenas results.
