Export and Import Development of Banten Province in September 2024

A. Export Development

• Banten's export value in September 2024 fell 6.47 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$1,023.21 million to US$956.99 million.
• Non-oil and gas exports in September 2024 decreased by 7.17 percent to US$948.67 million compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas export value in September 2024 came from the plastic goods and plastic goods (HS 39) category, reaching US$95.03 million.
• The largest non-oil and gas export destination country in September 2024 is the United States with an export value of US$132.01c million.
• Non-oil and gas exports in September 2024 will experience an increase in almost all sectors, except the processing industry sector. The highest increase occurred in the mining and other sectors.
• Banten's export value in September 2024 was highest through Tanjung Priok Port, reaching US$815.52 million.

 B. Import Development 

• Banten's import value in September 2024 fell 8.90 percent compared to the previous month, namely from US$3,265.00 million to US$2,974.53 million.
• Oil and gas imports in September 2024 rose 14.26 percent from US$404.85 million in the previous month to US$462.59 million. In contrast, for non-oil and gas commodities there was a decline in the value of imports by 12.17 percent to US$2,511.94 million compared to the previous month.
• The largest non-oil and gas import value in September 2024 came from mechanical machines/aircraft (HS 84) which reached US$461.35 million.
• The largest supplier of non-oil and gas imported goods in September 2024 is China with an import value of US$468.89 million.
• The value of imports according to categories of goods used in September 2024 compared to the previous month increased in the capital goods category, while other categories of goods decreased. Capital goods increased by US$107.45 million (16.60 percent), consumer goods decreased by US$19.50 million (8.12 percent) and raw/auxiliary goods decreased by US$378.41 million (15.92 percent).
